It happens way too often all over the country. Our education authorities please take note.” “You shouldn’t go over your limits, surprisingly none of the movie personalities came to her rescue and condemned the incident. Last September, two female actors from the Malayalam movie Saturday Night were harassed by the public at a promotional event at a shopping mall in Kochi. Photos and videos of the event went viral on social media.

One of the actors shared the ordeal, writing on social media: “After the event, me and one of my fellow actors left and a man misbehaved towards my colleague, and she didn’t even get a chance to see or comment because of the hustle and bustle. Then I also encountered a similar act of misogyny and I was shocked by it, as you saw in the video.”
