In the midst of this, a paparazzi video showed decorations being put up at KL Rahul’s building. There are white lights all over the building and a few staff members looking over the arrangements. The video has now caught fans’ attention on social media.
Athiya and KL Rahul’s D-day becomes a three-day affair at Athiya’s father, actor Suniel Shetty’s farm in Khandala. It will be kickstarted with a ladies evening scheduled for January 21st. A close source previously told us, “Athiya’s best friends like actor Akanksha Ranjan will be a part of this.”
Other guests will join the sangeet ceremony the next day. Athiya’s friends, brother, actor Ahan Shetty and parents Suniel and Maya Shetty are expected to perform at her sangeet. “It is a very close family affair. Only friends and relatives will be part of the wedding. It is very likely that you will not see many industry eye-catchers,” an insider added.
Meanwhile, when speaking about the wedding earlier, Suniel was quoted by Pinkvilla as saying “Jaldi hogi (it will happen soon).” It is rumored that Athiya and KL Rahul have been dating for several years until they made it official on Instagram.
Although they never spoke about each other publicly, they made their relationship official when the cricketer attended the premiere of Athiya’s brother Ahan’s debut film Tadap in 2021. The couple posed along with Athiya’s family at the event. Suniel has also been spotted attending KL Rahul’s cricket matches and shares a close bond with him. He has spoken fondly of the cricketer many times.
Athiya made her acting debut in the romantic action film Hero in 2015. Since then, she has acted in only two films: Mubarakan (2017) and Motichoor Chaknachoor (2019).
