Navya Naveli Nanda Says ‘She Has No Movie Offers So Far’ | Bollywood

The granddaughter of veteran actor Ambitabh Bachchan, Navya Naveli Nanda talked about not being a part of movies. She said her strength is not in acting and she “wouldn’t be very good at it.” She also revealed that she has not received any offer to act in any movies till now. She said her strength lies in something else, and acting can never be her cup of tea. Navya is an entrepreneur by profession. Speaking to Brut India, Navya explained why she didn’t choose acting as her profession like her uncle, Abhishek Bachchan and grandmother. Jaya Bachchan, and said, ‘I guess I’m just not very good at it to be honest. I don’t believe you have to do anything to do it.”

She said she’s never been passionate about acting in movies, stating, “You should if you’re 100 percent passionate about it. It’s not something I’m passionate about. I think I do exactly what I like to do. I wouldn’t be very good at it. I think my skills lie elsewhere.”

She revealed that she has no movie offers, saying, “None. I don’t understand why people keep thinking I have movie deals. None of them actually came, it’s surprising.”

Navya is the daughter of Amitabh Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan, the daughter of Jaya Bachchan. Shweta married businessman Nikhil Nanda in 1997. The couple welcomed daughter Navya in 1997 and brother Agastya Nanda in 2000. Navya’s uncle is actor Abhishek Bachchan.

In an interview with Barkha Dutt, Navya said, “I like dancing and things like that, but it was never something I took seriously that I would do this as a career. I was always more inclined towards business. My grandmother and aunt were both working women. They were also involved in the family business in some capacity. My father, grandfather would take their views on it. That was always a world that excited me much more. I am also the fourth generation of the Nandas to take over. I wanted really carry on that legacy, support my dad and everything he does.”

Navya closed her What The Hell Navya podcast in 2022. Along with grandmother Jaya Bachchan and mother Shweta, she spoke about issues faced by women in society. They also became candid in their conversations. The episodes can be found on Navya’s YouTube channel.
