INOX Movies official Twitter handle shared the status of the pre-booking, tweeting late Monday night: “India is going crazy! A whopping 2.75 lakh #Pathaan tickets have been sold in all INOX cinemas in India till the weekend! Don’t miss the craze, book your tickets now for the biggest action blockbuster of 2023. ONLY 2 DAYS BEFORE PATHAN.”
A new report from India Today quoted Ashish Saksena, COO, Cinemas, BookMyShow as saying, “After four years of waiting, Shah Rukh Khan is all set for an exciting comeback with Pathan jet setting on presale. The highly anticipated action thriller has already passed the 1 million presale mark on BookMyShow. Presale for Pathaan has opened in phases with over 3,500 screens available on the platform to date, even as a surge in demand has seen select cinemas across India opening early morning shows for the film.
Filmmaker Siddharth Anand returns with Pathaan following the success of his 2019 film War, starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. The movie was a hit for its action sequences and glamor quotient and was more than collected €300 crore in domestic box office and gross worldwide collection of €475.5 crores.
Shah Rukh returns to the silver screen with Pathaan after four years since his last release, Zero. This is his fourth film with Deepika Padukone, who made her film debut opposite him in Om Shanti Om and went on to deliver another blockbuster Chennai Express. They also collaborated in Farah Khan’s Happy New Year. John Abraham plays the antagonist in Pathaan. It also stars Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles.
