Shah Rukh Khan is in Dubai for the promotion of his upcoming movie Pathaan and watched as the movie trailer was shown on the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa on Saturday. Decked out in black casual wear paired with a matching jacket, Shah Rukh took the stage at a promotional event as the Pathaan trailer played at a distance. He also did his signature pose. During the promotional event, Shah Rukh also performed the Pathan hookstep from the song Jhoome Jo Pathaan and also said a few lines from the movie. Several fan clubs shared videos and photos from Dubai on social media.
In a video, Shah Rukh was seen uttering his Pathaan lines at an event: “Party rakhoge to mehman navazi ke liye Pathaan to ayega aur sath mein pathaake bhi layega (if you host the party at Pathaan’s house, Pathaan will obviously come and bring including fireworks). He also said his other dialogue from the movie “apni kursi ki petibaandh lo, mausam bigadne wala hai (fasten your seat belts because the weather is about to change now).”
Shah Rukh had flown to Dubai for the opening ceremony of the International League T20 and to promote Pathaan. Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, also stars Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana. The film will hit theaters worldwide on January 25, marking Shah Rukh’s return to the big screen after four years.
According to ANI, before the film’s trailer was shown at the Burj Khalifa, Nelson D’Souza, Vice President, International Distribution said, “Pathaan is one of the most highly anticipated films of our time and a film like this deserves to be presented in the grandest way. when it comes to presenting it to the public.”
He added: “We are delighted that Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently in the UAE for the International League T20, will make time to be present when the trailer is set on one of the most important architectural marvels of the world. SRK has an unparalleled fan base in the UAE and we feel this activity fits the hype that Pathaan carries with it today, thanks to the overwhelming love that is being radiated by both its fans and its audience.”
