Shah Rukh Khan is just a day away from the release of his highly anticipated movie, Pathaan. It marks his return to the big screen after four years. Prior to the release, the actor took to Twitter to chat with his fans and hosted an “Ask Me Anything” session. Shah Rukh tweeted: “A big hug to everyone who made #Pathaan so loved. Those who danced, put up cutouts, bought out venues, all the fan clubs, made t-shirts, prayed, helped ease the trouble and turned it into a festival. It’s good to be in theaters, feels like home. A quick #AskSRK for fun.” While many fans rushed to ask their questions for the actor, one user attempted to troll Shah Rukh and commented on his female avatar at an awards ceremony.
In response to a post shared by Yash Raj Films on the microblogging site, the troll wrote to Shah Rukh, “Femme fatale,” with smiling emojis next to a photo of the actor dressed as a woman. Shah Rukh responded to the user, writing back, “Arre no no this is me dressed as a lady. I know I’m attractive in all avatars, but you’ll have to find a better muse, my friend!! Sorry for misleading.”
Meanwhile, the original post shared by YRF supporting Pathaan read, “She is a total femme fatale in #Pathaan as she transforms into a spy with a license to kill! Watch @deepikapadukone bare her heart on her role, what makes her and @iamsrk one of the Indian film industry’s all-time biggest blockbuster jodi and so much more. It shared an excerpt from Deepika’s chat in which she talked about the film and her work experience.
Shah Rukh has been actively engaging with fans prior to Pathaan’s release. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. So far, the pre-booking for Pathaan has clearly signaled a blockbuster opening ahead of Republic Day on Wednesday. With over a million tickets already sold on movie booking website BookMyShow, cinema chain INOX has also confirmed sales of 2.75 lakh tickets by Monday. It is also said that the film will revitalize about 25 single-screen closed theaters across India.
