Urfi Javed Demanded Security, Maharashtra Women Commission Head Asked Mumbai Police To Take Immediate Action
Urfi Javed is one of the famous faces in the entertainment industry. The actress rose to fame through Bigg Boss OTT. She is known for her different clothes. Recently, the state president of BJP Maharashtra, Mahila Morcha Chitra Wagh, filed a police complaint against the television actress for “indulging in nudity on the streets of Mumbai, after which Urfi filed a complaint against the politician for threatening her.
Following Urfi’s complaint, Rupali Chakankar, head of Maharashtra’s Women’s Commission, wrote to Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar on Tuesday to take appropriate action on the actress’s complaint. Sharing the letter of complaint from Urfi, she wrote, “Maharashtra State Commission for Women has received Urfi Javed’s complaint application. are professionally necessary.”

Urfi states in her complaint: “Whether for political gain or personal publicity, Wagh’s threat indicates that I could be attacked. It creates an unsafe environment for me and I cannot move freely. The right to free movement is protected by the constitution given to every Indian.”Feeling unsafe in a city like Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, is serious business. Therefore, I urge the Mumbai Police Commissioner to take immediate action against the application.” The letter further read, “A report should be filed immediately as per section 12 (2) and 12 (3) of the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993 with regard to the measures taken.”
Mahila Morcha Chitra Wagh has previously filed a police report. She said, “In Maharashtra, we will not tolerate this nanga naach. This is not a matter of religion, this is a matter of public nudity in the state of Chhatrapti Shivaji Maharaj, a king who respected women. Will Savitribai Phule, who fought for the rights of women, appreciate these deeds? Everyone says who are we to tell or ask people what to wear, but wear clothes first and then ask us.”
