The A-list actor, who had encouraged his co-star to venture into filmmaking, advised him on how to handle Harvey. Todd picked up his second nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay with Tom Perrotta for the film. Tár is also expected to be nominated for a pair of Oscar nominations, for Best Actress and Best Director at this year’s Academy Awards, when the nominees are announced on Jan. 24.
